Kristi Roberts knows a few things about Art Nouveau and porcelain. She knows many more things about Scandinavian Jugendstil (especially, of course, porcelain) and enough about turn-of-the-century Danish ceramics to bore you to tears. Outside this narrow range of interest, she’s no expert in antiques. What she is really good at, however, is arriving in a city, putting her nose to the ground, and sniffing out all the places one might want to shop for old things. She’s perfected this scouting ability on many trips to Europe. "Here Be Old Things" is her attempt to tackle the city she lives in and loves most, Manhattan.
